Welcome to the Bully Blog!!!

Greetings! Welcome to the Bully Blog!
The Bully Blog is an extension of the Maryland Stop Bully website (http://www.mdstopbully.com/), an online synopsis of the Maryland Legislative Initiative to Stop Workplace Bullying in Maryland. Please check out the site as it is extremely informative.
I am M. Roberts, assistant to the Maryland State Coordinator for this initiative as well as your online guide to this process.
Have you ever or are you currently employed in a work environment where you feel you are being harrassed, belittled, humiliated? Does your supervisor consistently targetss you for every possible thing that goes wrong, uses you as their example of incompetence, unreliabilty, mistrust to other supervisors and your peers? These are just some of the examples of workplace bullying.
This initiative is present to let employees of the Maryland workforce (public or private) realize the following:
  • No one deserves to be belittled, humiliated, or harassed in their place of employment.
  • Supervisors are only as good as the team of employees they supervise, therefore not above the law.
  • Every employees in the Maryland workforce deserves to WORK IN PEACE!!!

That said, over the next week or so, I will be posting updates, including recent news events concerning this growing problem. Also, we have posted a poll that will remain on our blog. It poses the simple yet difficult question: Have you ever or are you currently being bullied in the workplace? Please respond to the poll as those in the fight to eliminate this problem want to reach out to assist.

Lastly, as with any blog , there are a few rules that I respectfully ask that readers adhere to:

  1. ABSOLUTELY NO SPAM!!!
  2. When responding to my posts (or to other responses), please exercise respect and tact. This matter is a very sensitive one that has not only affected employees in Maryland but all over the world. Remember respect given is respect reciprocated.
  3. Please keep your language clean. All responses are reviewed prior to posting. The Bully Blog reserves the right to refuse to post a response
